Bow To The River!

—————————

What for my hands if they don't bow to the river!?

Breeze of the stream squalls, whereas the river sings.

Peeping out at Goddess Kanakadurga's feet

the neck-ached waves turns towards the ocean.

Black cotton soils soaked in black water

Inviting young sprouts in a swamp of joy

A muster of storks along with the fishermen focused on the downstream

like Arjuna stares only at the bird's eye.

Pilgrims flock annually are euphoric to watch the flow

Nostalgia blooms in their eyes again.

Etiquette chides the desire to wash the feet at the river bank.

Since being humans brim with sin,

We do mind to leave our dirt in the waters of a holy river.

I want to bow while anointing on my head the waters of Krishnamma

That washes the sacred feet of Lord Mallanna

I want to consume that sacred water with devotional precision.

Where were you born dear mother

How many cultures did you blossom?

How amazingly you bestow life to the moving & static

for the generations oscillate between boon & bane.

The culture of the river-ages is a civilized virtue.

Life like a fist of ash must drift away in the stream.

What for my hands if they don't bow to the river!?
