A Promise
I did not come to mourn what was destroyed
Nor to examine how it was destroyed
I came with the knowing that signs of
your ancient soul still wander here.
That you live on
In these surroundings, in this nature,
in those sunrises, in that wind, in those flowers,
In the books that lie unopened and weeping,
In the poetry churned by the heart,
In the earth that rains down and exhales its fragrance...
In the whispers of some silent, colored paintings.
A door left half-open
A heart shared only halfway
Words that stopped mid-sentence
The honor killing that uprooted by the roots
The hope that they would ever be complete.
You, who look at my reflection
Shattered and weeping in the mirror of the world,
Pitying me, laughing in mockery.
After a war is fought within,
There is no need to wage war outside.
Except to raise the flag of peace.
I, who carry secret sorrows unknown to the world,
Came searching for your soul
And I will keep coming,
with a love that cannot be destroyed
You gave only your heart
I left behind my entire life.

వాగ్దానం
నాశనం చేసినదాన్ని చూసి దుఃఖించడానికి కాదు
ఎలా నాశనం అయ్యిందో పరిశీలించడానికి కాదు
నీ పురాతన ఆత్మ అక్కడ సంచరిస్తున్న ఆనవాళ్ళు కూడా
వున్నాయనే ఎరుక తో వచ్చాను.
ఈ పరిసరాల్లో ఈ ప్రకృతి లో ఆ సూర్యోదయాల్లో ఆ గాలిలో
ఆ పువ్వుల్లో తెరవబడక బావురుమంటున్న పుస్తకాల్లో
మనసు చిలికిన ఆ కవిత్వంలో వానకు తడిసి
పరిమళాలు వెదజల్లుతూన్న మట్టిలో.. ఏవో నిశ్శబ్ద
వర్ణ చిత్రాల గుసగుసల్లో నువ్వు జీవిస్తున్నావని.
సగం తెరిచి వుంచిన తలుపు
సగం మాత్రమే పంచుకున్న మనసు
అర్ధోక్తి తో ఆగిపోయిన మాటలు
ఏనాటికైనా పూర్తి అవుతాయనే ఆశను
కూకటివేళ్లతో పెకిలించిన ఆ పరువు హత్య.
లోకం దర్పణంలో ముక్కలై ఏడుస్తున్న నా ప్రతిబింబాన్ని చూసి
జాలిపడుతూ ఎగతాళిగా నవ్వుతూ మీరు.
లోపల యుద్ధం జరిగినాక వెలుపల యద్ధం చేయాల్సిన పనిలేదు.
శాంతి పతాకం యెగరేయడం మినహా.
ప్రపంచానికి తెలియని రహస్య దుఃఖాలను మోస్తున్న నేను
నీ ఆత్మ ను వెదుక్కుంటూ వచ్చాను వస్తూనే వుంటాను
నాశనం చేయలేని ప్రేమతో
నీవు హృదయాన్ని మాత్రమే ఇచ్చావు
నేను జీవితాన్నే విడిచి వచ్చాను.
