The Sea's Love*
The sea wore a white dhoti of milky foam at its edge.
Calm deep within, turbulent at the shore...
In silence, the river-maiden offered a flower at his feet.
Pretending not to see for a while, he then accepted the flower.
Sometimes, even when not given, he comes in fury and takes it away.
The tears of those who merged into him remain softly hidden,
Unknown to those outside.
Those who take by force have no sense of the pain.

సముద్రుడి ప్రేమ
తెల్లని పాల నురగ అంచు దోవతీ ధరించాడు సముద్రుడు.
లోపల ప్రశాంతంగా ఒడ్డున అలజడిగా..
నిశ్శబ్దంగా ఓ పూవుని అతని పాదాల వద్ద అర్పించింది నదీ కన్యక.
కాసేపు చూసీ చూడనట్టు నటించి పిమ్మట ఆ పూవును స్వీకరించాడు అతడు.
ఒకోసారి ఇవ్వకుండా వున్నా కూడా ఉగ్రంగా వచ్చీ తీసుకెళుతుంటాడు.
తనలో కలిసి పోయిన వాటి కన్నీరు వెలుపల వున్నవారికి తెలియకుండా మెత్తగా.
బలవంతంగా తీసుకునే వారికి నొప్పి గురించి విచక్షణ లేదు.
