The Shadow
Everywhere I look, a shadow. A shadow in the swirls of water.
Under that shadow, no sapling of thought ever sprouts a new leaf.
Why do I feel myself shrinking so?
Perhaps this inferiority is spreading like tangled roots...
Why won't this shadow leave me?
Why won't it let me live, even a little freely?
Even as I run, it keeps hunting me.
It says it desires me, wants me.
Was it born with me?
It whispers cunning words —
"Without me, your whole life would feel empty."
What sorcery has it mastered!
Though I thrash and scream, "Let go, let go of me!"
The shadow that follows, the shadow that hunts —
How cruel it is.
It turned me into a lifeless stone.
Then, another shadow
embraced me with affection.
In an instant, it released me from this world
and granted me a higher state.
How kind this shadow is.
Walking ahead of me,
it takes me along with it
into a world of freedom, where there is no pain, no fear.
Holding my hand, it leads me there.
I am going...
You, don't come. Don't pretend this excessive love.

నీడ
ఎటు చూసినా నీడ నీటి సుడుల మధ్య నీడ
నీడన ఏ ఆలోచనా మొక్క మారాకు వెయ్యదే
ఎందుకంత కుంచించు పోతున్నట్లు ఉన్నా
ఆత్మనూన్యత ఊడల్లా విస్తరిస్తుందేమో....
ఈ నీడ నన్ను వదలేమిటి
కాస్త స్వేచ్చగా మసలనివ్వదేమిటి
పరుగులు తీస్తున్నా వేటాడుతూనే ఉంది
నన్ను కావాలని కోరుకుంటుంది
నా పుట్టుకతో వచ్చిందా ఏమిటి?
నేను లేకుంటే జీవితామంతా శూన్యం గా తోస్తుందంటూ
మాయ మాటలు చెపుతుంది
ఎన్ని మాంత్రిక విద్యలు నేర్చింది !
వదులు నన్ను వదులు అంటూ గిజుకుంటున్నా
వెంటాడే నీడ, వేటాడే నీడ
ఎంత క్రూరమైనది
నన్ను ప్రాణం లేని శిలని చేసింది
ఇంకో నీడ నన్ను ఆప్యాయంగా
ఆలింగనం చేసుకుంది
లిప్త కాలంలో లోకం నుండి విడుదల చేసి
పదోన్నతి కల్గిస్తుంది
ఎంత మంచిదీ ఈ నీడ
నా కన్నా ముందు నడుస్తూ
నన్ను వెంట బెట్టుకుని మరీ తెసుకువెళుతుంది
బాధలు భయాలు లేని స్వేఛ్చా లోకంలోకి
నన్ను చేయి పట్టి తీసుకువెళుతుంది
నేను వెళుతున్నా ..
నువ్వు రాకు .. అతి ప్రేమ నటించకు.
